Hello!
Im looking for a way to generate tasks on a montly bases and assign them to teams to handle BAU infrastructure management. I have been playing around with visual task boards for this but its beginning to feel like im using a screwdriver to hammer in a nails. The main problem is that at the start of the month I would need to manually create all the indiviual tasks on a freeform task board which is pretty time consumining.
To provide some background we currenrlty track who has completed a specific task (for example check DC replicaition health in SCOM or check Macfee for machiens with missing patches our of date DAT files) A4 sheets of paper/spreadsheets where a team memeber would sign off the task was completed and write down any INC's or CHG that were generated off the back of it. What I am trying to do is bring all this in tool but im struggling.
One ideas I have beeing playing around with is creating a request item that creates tasks I could then throw into a visual taskbaord to assig out and manage? But that feels clunky and would still require someone to manually create the tasks.
Has anyone else used Service Now for this type of work? and could provide a way I could do this?
Warren

Hi Warren,
The better way is using Maintenance management.
But I guess it needs a separate subscription. The other methods I could think is Creating a Execution Plans.
You could add the execution plan to a catalog item and trigger the catalog item by writing Schedule job.
