Hi guys, I need to prevent a specific field from being updated with discovery, can I do this with a data policy (fields read-only)?

But if the running process has come back to life, you would and should allow discovery to show that its back and available, ie not absent.

The running processes were created manually, for this reason, despite being created in a state absent=false, after discovery they change to absent=true. I need the value of absent=false to be maintained

First, I would suggest that there should be no manual running processes created, leave that to discovery to manage. Second if discovery matched one of these they are no longer absent, they exist! Regardless, that absent flag is an important component of relationship building and system maintenance of the same I think theres a possibility of doing more harm than good, but of course dont know your whole use case.
