Can anyone tell what is the command to get information on command line for waps when using debug mode.
and do i use parsefile or parse variable, or command line
trying to update the version number, that is not showing when discovery runs

My humble guessing, by considering "parsefile" is used to extract data from external files, and then "parse variable" is used to manipulate that data within the ServiceNow environment. All would depend on the quality of collected data. Maybe both ;)

As per current design, the Wireless Access Point (WAP) devices are not discovered directly. The discovery of the (WAP) devices is made via Cisco device that controls them.
