We use Discovery Admin Workspace for:
- Missing compute resource insights (stale record corrections)
- Discovery diagnostics error corrections
Since these are recurring records and often handled by multiple admins, it’s hard to know:
- Who is working on which record (no clear progress/ownership visibility)
- How many records are validated vs. still open for reporting purposes
Questions:
- Is there an OOTB or recommended way to indicate in‑progress / ownership on Discovery insights or diagnostics?
- What’s the best approach to track and report validated vs. pending records (tasks, states, reports, PA, etc.)?
Looking for best practices or suggested approaches from the community.

Hi @VIvek V
The Diagnostics page helps you prioritize and address errors and anomalies in IP-based and Cloud Discovery schedules. Resolve issues by creating error tasks, tracking progress, and using support tools and logs.
To access the Discovery Admin Workspace Diagnostics page, navigate to Workspaces > Discovery Admin Workspace > Diagnostics.
Apart from this , you can try with
- Use the CMDB Health Dashboard to track CIs that are not being discovered (duplicate CIs, failed identification), which often points to discovery gaps, and leverage standard Task assignment on those tasks
