There is a task in Discovery Fundamentals that involves creating credentials for both Windows and Linux MID Servers. Creating Windows credentials was straightforward because the Windows MID Server was already included in the lab instance. However, I couldn't complete the task for Linux credentials because there is no Linux MID Server, and the credentials cannot be authenticated. Do I need to set up the Linux MID Server myself? If so, could you please provide the steps to do so?

@aki-yoshida If you followed the instructions exactly, and still it fails, then you can raise a case with the course and they will fix it for you.

@aki-yoshida You don't need Linux Mid-server to detect a Linux Server. Hope you had created the credentials for SSH. Did the first task of 'Create Credentials' from Module 4.4 was successful? If yes, then you need to just specify, both the Windows Server and Linux Server IP address separated by comma in the 'Select IP ranges' box.

Based on the information you provided, I entered the details and ran a test, but it failed.
Are there any other possible causes you can think of?
The training course included the following information, but even after entering these details, the process could not be completed.
Training course URL:https://learning.servicenow.com/lxp/ja/it-operations-management/discovery-fundamentals-on-demand?id=...

Additional note: The credentials for Windows did not work with the IP address listed in the training course, so I used the IP address of the MID Server (windows_mid) in the lab instance instead.
The test using that IP address was successful.
