Discovery is unable to fetch installed software details of Linux servers

Hi Experts,

We are discovering linux servers and they are getting discovered successfully with most of the data. But installed software details are not getting populated.

I have attached the pay load of sensor "pkg_munger".

Note :

  • Linux servers are getting discovered using privileged command "dzdo".
  • SAM is not activated
  • Windows software is getting discovered without any issues

Did you check discovering unix software is enabled in the Discovery configuration console like below?

Interesting!!



I am having doubt on your probe's post processor script. Did it run successfully?



If it ran you will get like below in your payload..but it is missing in yours.

Hi Vivek, how can I check whether the probe ran successfully or not...I can see both input and and output of "bash ${file:pkg_munger}" is processed in ECC queue.


Also We are getting the results outside Servicenow using the same script ran on server directly.
