I have a few questions on IP switch discovery
The mac address of all network adapters is the same, which is wrong. How to correct it?
Is there a way to populate the switch port IP address?

It seems that the admins of the device have changed the name of the network adapter and since the network adapter is identified with name and mac address combination it would create a different record.
However, the other records should be marked as absent once the switch is discovered next (as there is a deletion strategy associated with the Network Switch pattern for network adapters).
Please check if the given switch is being scanned lately. If no, then you may have to create a cleanup rule for stale network adapters.

Hi, thank you for the reply. The behavior is the same across all the IP switches. They have been discovered daily with the help of a schedule. We just deployed discovery this month and this is happening from the first scan it self.

The SNMP Identity section of the Network Switch patterns constructs the name, mac and ip address for the network adapter
If you test the "Insert network adapters to cmdb_ci_network_adapter" step you will come to know if there are duplicate mac's.
