Hi All,
I Want to Discover some telecom equipment present in the environment. Is it possible to discover IP phones etc. through Service Now discovery.
If yes, then what are the requirements for the same.

Hi Lokesh,
Discovering IP phones directly from ServiceNow is not possible yet. But I have seen people discovered Cisco IP phones through Cisco Communication Manager(CCM) server. The CCM server supports SNMP, through SNMP it is possible to get all the phones from CCM. The probes and sensors are available in ServiceNow share. You can have a look.
For other telecom equipment, If SNMP can be configured then you can create custom probes and sensors to discover it.

Hi Vivek,
Thanks for your help, actually the devices which we want to discover are Avaya IP phones, so are there any probes and sensors developed for them.
Or we have to write these on our own?

Hi Lokesh,
I don't think anyone shared the probes before. I believe Avaya Communication Manager supports SNMP. Maybe if possible you can retrieve information from there.
If you are able to retrieve the information then create custom probe and sensors in ServiceNow to populate into CMDB.
