Hello,
I'm looking for some assistance as we are having issues discovering Windows 2008 servers that aren't bound to a AD domain.
We've ensured the following prerequisites have been met but we are unable to either get a successful reply via a WMIC command (returns Alias Not Found) from the MID server or a credential check in SNOW.
- Firewall has been disabled (WMI rules enabled anyway on all profiles)
- Local admin user created on server and in SNOW
- winrm quickconfig enabled
- WMI service running
- $ADMIN share present
- Powershell installed
Thanks,
Ajeet

What is the ServiceNow version being used and the patch level. Are you getting any error message in the Discovery log?

It seems that the credential provided does not have access to query WMI. You can test the WMIC connectivity using wbemtest from the MID Server by following the below steps:
https://4sysops.com/archives/wbemtest-part-1-testing-wmi-connectivity/
You need to feed the username password as well into the wbemtest utility.
This should be an RPC or access denied issue
