Can the discovery on IP Switch discover inactive network interfaces?

Hey there @CyP065923767907

Thats a  good question and Discovery on an IP switch typically aims to identify active network interfaces that are currently in use. However, whether inactive network interfaces are discovered depends on the specific discovery configuration and settings in your environment.

In general, discovery processes may not actively target inactive network interfaces by default, as they are not actively participating in network traffic and may not be relevant for monitoring or management purposes. However, you may be able to configure your discovery settings to include inactive network interfaces if needed.

I'd recommend reviewing your discovery configuration and settings to see if there are options to include inactive network interfaces in the discovery process.

Hi @CyP065923767907 ,

Yes you can run the discovery on the whole subnet this will return all the IPs no matter active or not active. From here you can get the inactive network interfaces on your discovery. I hope this helps...
