When setting up a Discovery Schedule, is there any reason not to choose 'ALL' for 'Use SNMP version', so that you don't limit what you are discovering ?      Thanks !

Hi,
I am facing an issue with the SNMP type.
I am trying to discover printer, it accepts SNMPv2. Now when i run quick discovery, it fails to discovery. When i run Discovery schedule with SNMP set to ALL, it fails. But, when i run discovery schedule with SNMP set to V1/V2 then it discovered.

In MID logs i can see it is using the SNMP v1/v2 creds but then nothing happens, it moved to another snmpv3 creds. Can you please help understand this behavior? Thankyou

@Lisa O_Brien You  have option to select All in choice list. There is no impact if you select all. It just that on Initial Load it will take the more time and further it will be smooth so there is no problem.

Hi @Lisa O_Brien ,

Yes, while scheduling discovery schedule and you can decide , you want to discovery the Network Device SNMPV2 or SNMPV3 or All types of SNMP Devices, Thats controls the SNMP device discovery based on version for Network Device.

I hope you are familiar with SNMP Version in Network Devices.
