Finance system integration

Hi,

We are currently using Net Suite as our financial system but are looking to move this functionality into another system which we will then integrate with Service Now.

Has anybody here integrated Service Now with a financial system and if so what were your experiences?

We're building web services integration with our Oracle environment as we speak.   Many of our financial services are offered via ServiceNow, such as new vendor setup, manual check requests, etc.   Our integration will ensure that both systems share the exact same lists of vendors.

We are using SN differently than a lot of customers I think. It serves as our CRM system and is used for managing service for an external customer base.

We are working on integration with our billing engine (TRACT) which will eventually allow our employees to easily lookup a customer's purchased services. The kind of thing we are interested in integrating from a finical system would be customer transactions. So for example an employee can easily see if a customer has paid their most recent bill without having to login to another system.

I think the Oracle financial system may be a bit too large for us at this current time but your feedback would be helpful for us to inform our decision.

Which Oracle systems are you using specifically? Is it just the vendor information you will be sharing? Do you have a team of developers in house or are you using external contractors? What is your opinion of the ease of integration with this system so far?
