Have you ever used Discovery in order to discover CCTV Cameras?

Hi Guys,

Currently I am trying to discover CCTV Cameras. Can anyone give me some guidance or send me some materials?
From what I have red, I need to create a new table "cmdb_ci_cctv", than create a new a new SNMP System OID which will then have to trigger a custom made classification which will then trigger a custom made probe which will then send the results to a custom made sensor. In other words:

New CMDB Table ---> New SNMP System OID ------> New Classification -------> New Probe -------> New Sensor.

Please correct me if I am wrong about something here. Also I don't have any idea how to configure most of this "steps" regarding CCTV cameras.

Thank you in advance!

I did these snmp classifier videos for just this type of request.  The first one even covers IP Cameras.. Have a look...

You can also use a discovery pattern to identify and create a CI.
This are the steps:

- Create CI Class
- Create SNMP Classifaction
- Create SNMP OID Classification
- Create Discovery Pattern

Check or change the identification rules of your CI Class to see which attributes are needed to create a configuration item in the CMDB.
