Horizontal Discovery - how is relationship type "IP Connection" discovered

Hello all,

I am hoping you will be able to quickly identify the root cause for an issue I am seeing. We are discovering a large enterprise with many 1000s of CIs using horizontal discovery (not top/down service mapping). One of our CIs, a switch is showing many 1000s of relationships to servers, desktops etc... via a relationship of "IP connection".

We know that it is not technically possible the switch in question could be related by IP to the majority of the other CIs, especially those in a different location altogether, however discovery is portraying this.

Can you please assist me in identifying which part of discovery process actually makes with connection. The relationship is always an upstream relationship from switch to related CI.

I have investigated discovery logs and events and it's difficult to pinpoint where these relationships are being set.

Thanks for the support in advance.

Craig

Thanks for the response. Looks like an odd record in forwarding external interface records.
