Hello all,
I've recently started on the 'Discovery journey'. I have tried to run discovery against a list of IP's but I always get a warning stating 'No results returned from probe':
I am wondering whether this is because the Discovery plugin is not activated but how can I check whether it is activated? Does this plugin mean it is active:
thanks
Jason

Hi Jason,
If you have the Discovery application, then the Discovery plugin in enabled in your instance. The official way to determine this would be to navigate to System Definition > Plugins and find the Discovery Plugin. There you should be able to see if the plugin is active or not.
Based on the results you saw I would recommend expanding your IP Range to ensure that you are hitting valid IPs. Without more information it is hard to say though.
Thanks!

It has been my experience, at least with fuji p7, that you cannot even see the plugin since it is premium, if you aren't a maint user. But like Robert said, one way is to see if you have the Discovery and Discovery Definition applications in the left nav bar. You can also contact your Service-Now rep and they should be able to tell you for sure if you are entitled to it, or if it's been turned on.

I think if you can see Discovery and run a discovery, then the plugin is active. Select Status in the Nav-Bar under Discovery and review the Discovery Logs and ECC queue for the reasons why your discovery returned nothing.
