How to configure the "Alerts Console"?

Hello,

We have found out the existence of the "Alerts Console", which shows the current Open alerts and auto refreshes every few seconds:

I have several questions about this:

1) Documentation?
I was unable to found anything related to this on the docs.servicenow.com site.

2) How do I access this Alert Console?
So far, I'm only able to access it via the URL mentioned above. I'm not sure how can I access this from the UI.

3) How can I change its configuration?
I would like to review the refresh rate, the default filter, etc.

4) To which product this belongs to?
Based on the table name, it seems it belongs to "Service Analytics"? How is this related to the ITOM Event Management?

Hi,

The alert console belong to Event Management but it was replaced by the Operator Workspace lists.

Do you have a reason for using the Alert Console instead of the Operator Workspace lists?

I would like to understand more about your interest in the Console.

According to the following ServiceNow documentation, Alert console is part of ITOM Health and are monitored from Operator Workspace.

  • Alert console: Alerts are now monitored in the Operator Workspace interface. The alerts list refreshes automatically each time there is an update to an alert.

Hello Rani,

 

I was not aware this was deprecated since Orlando (we started using ITOM Event Management on that version).

The release notes make it clear this shouldn't be used anymore, in favor of the Operator Workspace.
