when u run Discovery its auto populated in Correlation id field of ESX Server CI Class.
On ESX Host your ESX admin can guide you with Commands
on ESXi Shell
"esxcli system uuid get" and "esxcfg-info | grep 'System UUID'"

Hi Rahul,
Thanks for the information, we have asked our customers to check with these commands ,however they are getting different correlation Id for host instead of getting existing/discovered correlation Id of host>
we are not sure on this correlation id which one is the correct Correlation Id.
Our issue is, earlier we have sl.... host(esxi) with aaaaaa correlation Id , last week discovery created new same host sl.... with bbbbb correlation id
Currently In CMDB, we have two CI's with same name sl.... (host) but with different correlation Id's
sl... with aaaaaa (correlation ID0
sl.... with bbbbbb(correation id)
we thought correlation id changed for sl....esxi host .
after trying these commands, we are getting another correlation id cccccc for same host sl...
Could you please help me to find ay other way find correct correlation id for esxi host sl....?

In that case we need to Drill Down this PROBE which is used to Populate ESX Host data. There we can see what command is used to Fetch Correlation Id.
