We use another system to manage IP assignments, and therefore create new network ranges too (I'm hoping to use CMDB to manage this in the future). As a new network range is created, I'm working to pull that data automatically into the cmdb_ci_IP_network table.
I would like Discovery to automatically query that same table for new networks to start scanning. Found the WIKI entry for importing IP Ranges into discovery (Import IP ranges into Discovery schedules with import sets), but that is a manual process.
Please tell me if I'm looking at the wrong table for my import too.

There's a lot of ways to accomplish what you want to do here. Let's break it down:
1.Setup an automated import of IP Networks
-does your IPAM tool have a ServiceNow integration? use that
-Scheduled email extract to ServiceNow
-Setup a custom integration
2. Automatically assign these networks to a (possibly Range Set) Discovery Schedule for scanning
-business rule or another trigger can be setup to assign the new networks.
My questions to you on this:
-how will you know what MID Server or Behavior to add the new IP Networks too?
-When will the scan run?
If your tool doesn't have a direct integration, I think the amount of logic needed to build this might not be worth the effort of handling manually.

Hi Philip,
I definitely do not suggesting the manual entry route for Discovery. It may behoove you to save much valuable time by outsourcing Automated CMD and Discovery to a SNOW ITOM partner for implementation. Here's a short video on the subject that may help you to better understand all that this implementation will provide, plus benefits that address business issues above and beyond what's included in the out-of-the-box modules.
