Hi,
First time post, so forgive me if this is in the wrong area, or lacks the technical details required...
I have a request for a report to be created, based upon our Incident table. From the incident table view - Incident > Export To PDF > Detailed Landscape this generates the PDF report.
This report includes a couple of fields that I would like to remove from the report (namely work_notes and close_notes - if these are standard default field names?)
This report is to be shown to a customer and as such we do not want them to have visibility of our internal fields, only the comments & u_customer_resolution fields that are customer facing information.
Is there a simple way to generate this type of report?
I hope that I have included enough details to be going on with...
Thanks
Graham

Hi Graham. You'd just need to create a new View of that form that doesn't have those fields, and export from the new View instead.

Thanks for this, I will have a look although I have never done any of this, as we are more users rather than developers/admins.
Will this allow me to do a multiple export though?
The current situation is that a customer wants to see details relating to all incidents that they have raised with us. As this is 30+ incidents, we need a quick way to do this. If I filter on the Incident table for only incidents relating to this company, and then do the Incident > Export To PDF > Detailed Landscape this gives me one large PDF document that includes everything relating to the incident (currently also including the internal fields that I want to remove visibility of)
I can kind of do what I need with exporting to Excel, from the reports screen, however it doesn't present the information in such a readable format.
Thanks

Right, you're doing the export from a list. I glossed over that initially.
After you or your admin creates a new View of the form without those fields, similarly create a new View of the list with the same View name. Then when you do your export from the list, you should get the new form View in the PDF detail.
And if this doesn't work, or if you run into difficulty, a quick Incident opened with Customer Support might get you closer.
