The configuration for Discovery Schedule to discover network devices doesn't contain a field for location. Is there a way to set the location for network devices discovered? Perhaps setting this based on IP Address or subnet?

You should be discovering network devices in the same way you discover infrastructure. As part of the discovery schedule if you know the location of them you can setup specific discovery schedules and whatever location you assign to them will be assigned to the network device when it's discovered. Hope this helps.

As I understand it, network devices are only discovered when the discovery schedule is set to discover Networks, which doesn't have the option to set the location.
So far I have only used the network and Configuration Items discoveries. Do one of the other discovery types also discover network devices?
My discovery instance is running Kingston.

Hello WIlliam,
Unfortunately you are incorrect on this. The network option is used to look at the routers in your IT infrastructure and pull back the ranges that are configured on them so you can have a dynamic set of ip ranges for discovery. This is typically done as a one time beginning discovery but isn't really done all that often as it can cause a lot strain on the devices (it looks at the routing rules setup and basically daisy chains between the routers it see's in the routing table and interface connections starting with the default gateway that your mid server is connected to).
You should be doing the Configuration Item schedule to discover all your network equipment just like any server as it will see that SNMP is open on them and attempt to probe them and return information using SNMP. Now as Dave mentioned below this can be difficult to assign a location in this manner due to overlapping network ranges across multiple locations but it's a good start. Hope this helps and if it does please mark an answer as correct.
