Is there a way to exclude CI Classes from Discovery? Specifically, things like "Exit Interface Routing Rule" and "Next Hop Routing Rule"?

I don't think it's possible to exclude CI Classes from Discovery.
Is there a specific reason why you don't want the data in the CMDB?
Maybe a business rule to abort an insert action of specific CI Class tables.
Don't know if that works.

Michael,
Those 2 items account for a couple thousand CIs, and we don't need the data to map the infrastructure, so it's just more items for people to scroll through when associating a CI to a record. I'm assuming the solution you recommend requires scripting?

Isn't easier to limit the list of CIs people can choose from?
Have a look at this:

If you still want to look at the business rule. It doesn't require scripting.
On the tab "Action" there is an "abort action" checkbox.

Hi
Did you check the link in my previous post?
Maybe that is a better solution.
Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Good morning
I am looking at the previous solution you gave me a link to, and I"m not sure I understand completely (SNOW newbie here). I understand that when our agents are choosing CIs, they can sort/filter the list. But I don't see how to filter the list so that it is always the filtered list they bring up.
Thank you for your help.
