We have CIM credential for Pure Storage,NetApp,EMC VNX . Issue is when we scan for Pure Storage device it always trigger a NetApp CIM credential .So,when we InActive NetApp Credential and try to scan same device then it trigger Pure Storage CIM Credential. But the user name and password for Pure is different to NetApp user name and password. We can't figured out
Why it trigger NetApp CIM credential for pure storage devices?

It 'should' fail on your netapp credential then move onto the other CIM credentials in the list via their order.. if that is not happening and it only tries the one credential then you have a bug and should contact support..

How do we discover SAN NAS devices. I read the documentation that says CIM credentials ( discover using CIM) can you elaborate more on what access needs to be setup on SAN/NAS to allow CIM discovery to happen.
Thanks

Anil,
It would be the same process.. You would set up a SLP provider, basically an agent that runs on a host that is connected and configured to talk to the storage system. In this agent you would create an admin user and have that same user on the host as admin/root. Then enter those credentials in Service now and point your discovery at that IP. If we see the WEBEM port (5989) open we will then go through with the discovery. glenn.pinto has a great video here that might help!

I have a similar problem, maybe. I have a storage discovery issue with creating the CMDB. I have a device with CIM I know works, but it is not working in creating a CI. How do we check for which CIM credentials it's trying to use? Is there debug available for CIM? Only message we get is 'Access Denied' in the payload.
