Issue in vCenter discovery

Hi Team,

Please suggest. I am trying to discover vCenters. One vCenter has been discovered successfully but when I try to discover another vCenter it is giving me error "Unable to establish connection to https://00.00.000.00/sdk: java.rmi.RemoteException: Exception caught trying to invoke method RetrieveServiceContent; nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException".

But when i test the credentials I am getting error find_real_file.png

I have tried with different ports 443, 9433, 5480.

Can anyone please suggest me in this case. This is quite urgent.

One more thing, when I checked the cmdb_ci table and search for the IP, I can find two CIs one in the "NMware Network Adapter" class and other in the " VMware Virtual Machine Instance" class.

Hi,


Quick check: Can you confirm if the ports are open on the server where vCenter is hosted. Needed ports are 5480 and 9443.

Also check if the second vCenter and first vCenter both are hosted on Windows or Linux Server.

Hi Ashutosh,

I haven't checked yet but the only difference is this vCenter is on VDI and server is windows.
