Hi Experts,
I wanted to know more about how the ITOM licenses are calculated based on the CIs, is it by CI count?
Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Shantanu

Hi @Shantanu1 ,
I trust you are doing great.
I can confirm that ITOM licenses are calculated based on the number of Configuration Items (CIs) within the instance. The ITOM module requires an additional license above and beyond the base ServiceNow license, and the cost is based on the number of CIs within the instance.
ServiceNow uses a proprietary licensing model based on a point system, which assigns point values to each CI type. The number of points required for a license is determined by the number of CIs within the instance and the point value assigned to each CI type.
For more information on how ITOM licensing works in ServiceNow, I recommend reviewing the ServiceNow ITOM Licensing Guide, which can be found on the ServiceNow Documentation website: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/paris-it-operations-management/page/product/it-operations-managem.... This guide provides a detailed overview of the licensing model, including how licenses are calculated based on CI counts and point values.
