All,
I have a question about the version of Java that is run by the MID servers WRT licensing. Is it dependent on the client to make sure that they have licensing for that version of Java running on the MID servers? Or does ServiceNow provide the licensing for Java on the MID servers?
Thanks

Java n Jre are Not Bundled.
OS and Java are Customer Responsibility.
Check Compatibility Matrix for exact Service Now Version and Supported Java n Jre.

hi ,
Ideally its customer responsibility ,But at the same time please look the following scenarios too
1.ServiceNow used to share the release notes and appropriate host configuration needed in each release .
2.So if a customer is using pretty old host and this needs immediate attention as upgrade might not be successful.
Please look at the kb article for further guideline (https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0719830)
