@venkataramac Linux server is getting these rules from Computer as it's a child class of Computer. If you want to change this to Hardware, then these rules need to be removed from Computer. When you remove it, automatically, Computer and Linux Server will be taking Identification rules of the Hardware.
There is no way you can connect to Hardware rule by skipping the Computer rule in the hierarchy.

Hi @Mannapuram,
Thanks for the response,
Actually, in my instance for Computer table it has both rules Computer rule and Hardware rule. But the issue is Hardware rule is missing for Computer table.
Can you help how / where can I remove/add the Missing rule.
Thanks

Hi @venkataramac,
- You can start comparing the behavior with another relevant instance (DEV/TEST/ PROD) and revert the changes accordingly.
To revert the OOB identification rules please follow below steps.
- Navigate to: Configuration > Identification/Reconciliation > CI Identifiers
- Search for cmdb_ci_computer in the Applies to field.
- If the OOB identifier exists, you can revert to OOB using the “Revert to Out-of-Box” option.
If you can't identify the OOB identifier, you can start creating it manually to compare with the relevant instances.
