Hello Community,

Identification rule for Linux Server was changed from Hardware rule to Computer Rule.

How can I revert this back to Hardware rule.

Hi @venkataramac,

  1. You can start comparing the behavior with another relevant instance (DEV/TEST/ PROD) and revert the changes accordingly.

To revert the OOB identification rules please follow below steps.

  • Navigate to: Configuration > Identification/Reconciliation > CI Identifiers
  • Search for cmdb_ci_computer in the Applies to field.
  • If the OOB identifier exists, you can revert to OOB using the “Revert to Out-of-Box” option.

If you can't identify the OOB identifier, you can start creating it manually to compare with the relevant instances.

Hi @Mannapuram ,

Both the rules should be available as per my Prod instance. I should not delete the Computer rule
