I'm testing the NetApp clustered and ontap 7mode patterns in one of NPE we've upgraded to london. I'm getting this error when I run discovery. It does classify the device correctly, but fails:
Identification Engine: Discovery status is FAILURE, CI Type cmdb_ci_storage_server cannot be created since there are no attributes defined. Debug pattern to understand why no attributes have been assigned.
I tried going to the pattern to "check pattern", but nothing happens. It starts, but when the debug pattern window pops up it's blank and doesn't change.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Turns out it was credentials related. Ended up creating a new credential with admin and the correct roles and it worked. Created another new account with the same roles but read only and it worked.
We only have cluster onTap devices, so 7 mode isn't in scope right now.

Can you post a screenshot of the check pattern window that is blank? It sounds like no attributes are being set at all on the CI so you definitely need to debug the pattern to see what is going on.

hi,
we've had some problems with the netapp but a lot of them were fixed. i suggest opening a hi ticket so we can take a look and debug, but this is very solvable.

Hi there, did you get it fixed? Just curios because we're experiencing the same issue. Thanks.

No. From what the storage guy is telling me the account has full blown permissions, and it still fails on disco.
I have a meeting today with a SNOW tech to review further with everyone on a webex. I'll update the thread when I have something.
