NetApp Storage Discovery Configuration

Hi All,

I am attempting to discover our NetApp storage environment and it appears there are multiple techniques for discovery.  I would like to avoid having to configure a CIM or SMI-S server so I'd prefer to use one of these:

 * Discovery with patterns using ONTAP API. These patterns support native discovery of NetApp servers without requiring the discovery of the SMI-S server.

* Discovery with patterns using HTTP REST API.

I'm not seeing any documentation that outlines how to do either of these.  I'm fairly new to the storage discovery world.  Has someone done this, and can you share pointers on how to configure?

The steps are okay however we need to understand going through or using the ONTAP API for both SNMP and HTTP.
