Hi,
We have few types of storage and backup appliances which does not support discovery.
Is there any OOB field to mark a CI as non-discoverable?
What are the strategies you follow to maintain non-discoverable CIs in CMDB?
Regards,
Chandra

So you can probably use the most recent discovery attribute as a way but then it's hard to tell if it's non discoverable or if there is a credential issue. I would recommend creating a custom attribute for it. As for strategies should be based around the use cases and a process should be put in place to keep that data up to date. I would look at data certification as it can be really good for running audits on that data and making SME sign-off on it (thus giving you a measure of quality on the data).
Wherever possible always try to bring data in from trusted sources of data instead of just creating them willy nilly.
