Hello Experts,
We are actually looking to import certain applications through excel template into service now. Couple of questions: -
1)What should be the best approach to get all of those loaded into service now (there are 140 + records need to be imported)?
2)There are certain applications which are duplicate as well. How these can be taken care of )
3)In the excel template there are lot of custom fields which are not available in our service now Cmdb template? How should we go with those??
Please let me know your views. Thanks!

Hi @sajal_chatterje ,
To answer your first question, the best approach is always a solution that processes the data through IRE. However, to setup that for a one time off import it may be a bit of overkill.
When you say Applications, what type of applications are you referring to? Which CI classes will be the targets?

Niklas

Hi,
Use the Easy import functionality to create a new template for the Business Application table.
Merge the data from your existing excel with the new template and import it.

Hello @Niklas Peterson ,
Thanks !
One more thing. We have this list of DB's like Azure SQL, SQL Server,Oracle DB coming from the excel template. Need your help in deciding which attribute will be best to map those??
Class, category/subcategory?
