Printer in classifying in Network Table

Hi,

We have few printers and those are classifying as Network devices.

I am new to this, could you please help me the troubleshooting?

I saw, we need to change class to reclassify it ( by changing its class manually ), but if we do that, in next discovery it will change it back, right?

Hi,

Check that the SNMP System OID (discovery_snmp_oid) table  has the proper OIDs mapped to the correct classifier and table.

Regards,
Niklas

Hi, I deleted the CI record(took XML Backup) and ran the discovery it worked, not sure how.

Thanks Niklas

when u do the Quick Discovery for Printer Device IP - So its going to Printer Class Correct.

Means Classifier is correctly matched with OID of Printer.

Check these two Classifiers for ur clarity - why it was discovered correctly second time.

It Means Your given Printer OID is present in OID Table.
