Hello Community,
Does anyone know how I can retrieve passwords for Mid server:
1. Instance Mid user password
2. Service Account username and password.
The previous developer has not shared this info and I now need these info to change parameters.
Thank you

You probably just want to set a new password in the mid server user on the instance, and then put it in the config.xml file on the mid. (The mid will encrypt it on first startup.)

Hi Revathi,
Following Now Support page has steps on changing MID Server password.
https://support.servicenow.com/kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0746702
If the problem is not being able to login to the OS that is running the MID Server, that is a completely different problem. The the company's system admin to see if the password can be reset.

1. Instance Mid user password --reset the user password and then Update in Mid Server Config.xml
2. Service Account username and password. --> Reset it with help of AD Admin and then restart the Mid Server in windows using reset password. In Service You can set the password.
But if you take my view i will reset both password and do a fresh install of mid server.
Regards
