Revert back to previous state?

Is it possible to revert back to a previous state if a user that opened the record updates it?
We have a few state choices and one of them is a request for more information which when selected will notify the requestor an action is required.
When it is updated by the requestor we want it to go back to the previous status.
Is there function that does this?

Ken,
You can hide the option for requestor of that particular ticket using a client script. That way you do not have to revert it back to previous state.

Hi i'm facing the same issue.
can you tell me how can i get previous state choice value using of UI Actions.

Can you elaborate on what your business (not technical) requirement is that is driving this?
I'm interested to hear the use case. In the 10 years I've been doing this, I haven't found a need for "previous" yet in a UI action.
