Ricoh Copier/Printer MIB Required

Hello

I am having issues with the Discovery of Ricoh products.

What I am looking for is a MIB file for all Ricoh copiers and printers.

Ricoh was kind enough to send me a PDF doc and told me to make my own MIB file, as the MIB file they have was confidential. We have close to a 1,000 Ricoh devices that are causing me grief. It may be time to switch vendors.

If you have a MIB file or can direct me as to where I may acquire one, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank You

Scott

Hi Scott,

By default our machines have public MIB information readily available for discovery by any compatible SNMP application. From the local Web Image Monitors on the machines to Smart Device and Web Smart Device Monitor applications, our devices are configured to respond when a compatible app is requesting information. Currently, it is not clear why the machines are not allowing discovery. Lets' set-up a call to get a better idea of what you are trying to do; please contact me @ 770.723.4460.

Thanks,
Jay Walker

Scott,

Did you eventually get the needed MIBs?   Please share your findings if you can.

Why not extract OID from devices and add in SNMP OID link and let servicenow use default snmp queries to get what it can get.

I had the same problems when first auditing through Discovery and the Printer table. I had created my own probe/sensor combo after painfully going through Ricoh's MIB documentation.

EDIT: ServiceNow Share posting removed at the request of Ricoh.

Hi Andrew, I'm really interested int he Sensor you wrote, but I notice its not on the site anymore.   Is it possible you could repost it?
