Quick discovery question. When SNOW discovery looks for routers and switches, doesn't it create associated router interfaces and switchports based on the use/configuration of that port.
So you could end up with a router or switch having both router interfaces and switchports?
Thanks

So the discovery process is able to determine what the interface is being used as and then classify is appropriately, correct?

I'm hesitant to say yes because I think there is a question behind your question. Yes, Discovery is going to list out the interfaces, switch ports, build Layer 2 and Layer 3 relationships between devices. But 'how' is it being used? Well, now you get into service mapping and see the network relationships including Machine Learning to give you that information...

It's been a while since I've used SNOW Discovery and am just trying to remember the specifics. I'm working with a discovery tool right now that when discovering and syncing interfaces it puts them on the network adapters table.
I remember with SNOW that was not the case and there is some evidence of that in our instance from when SNOW discovery was used years ago.
So I'm just trying to confirm the determining factors of where (table) SNOW creates the interfaces and ports for routers and switches.
