Quick discovery question. When SNOW discovery looks for routers and switches, doesn't it create associated router interfaces and switchports based on the use/configuration of that port.
So you could end up with a router or switch having both router interfaces and switchports?
Thanks

Follow-up question
- I'm seeing some routers/switches with a mixture of router interfaces and switchports and others with just network adapters. What is the reasoning/logic behind this, especially the ones with just network adapters.

Could be any number of things. You would want to debug your pattern and find the sections where we are making those queries and identify if there are any issues with those devices responding to the questions. Could be something on the target side in its response.

I'll have to dig into those patterns and sensors I guess to see what is being looked at to determine whether to create a network adapter, router interface or switchport. Is there any SNOW documentation on this?

Is it possible to know the ip address of the switch port?
