Hi,
Does anyone know how to configure Discovery to run in a DHCP environment?
We have Discovery running in our production instance but it treats IP addresses as unique and updates CI based on them meaning our data is always changing as the leases expired and a new IP is assigned -- not to mention completely wrong.
I've read both blog posts by Slightly Loony on the subject but they are slightly contradictory from this perspective. That seems to be about the only source of information on the subject I can lay my hands on. Logging the issue on hi hasn't helped either.
Any and all help most welcome.
Cheers
R

I think your best bet would be to post a response to one of his blog entries. He'll be notified of your response and then usually responds pretty quickly. I think the answer is to coalesce on something like Serial Number.
Please post a link to your answer back here when you get one.
