Service Mapping Discovery

How does (service watch) discovery work? Is it able to create new CI's ? What if the CI's created are not accurate or don't need to be discovered? I have been seeing Service Watch appear as a discovery source

Service Watch Entry is an Old entry which is still kept by Service Now. Now Coming to ur Queries

Is it able to create new CI's - > yes when you purchase and Implement Service Now Discovery Product.

Itom Discovery Subscription-> Discovery + Service graph Connector

Itom Visibility Subscription --> Discovery, Service Mapping,Acc-V, Service Graph Connector.

What if the CI's created are not accurate or don't need to be discovered?---> After Discovery CI data must ve verified by CI Owners which also act as Baseline (No of Windows Server, Attributes Listed for Servers etc).

if you do not need to Discover Any CI just Do Not Include Its IP in Discovery Schedule Or add in Global exception List.

Rest details you can find on Service Now Docs Site for Discovery and Service Mapping.
