We have a requirement where we need to filter out certain Alerts from impacting the Service Instance. Is there a way to achieve this out of the box?
We're using Dynamic Mapping with Calculated Application Services.

Hi Buddy,
Yes — this is supported out of the box.
For Dynamic Mapping + Calculated Application Services, the best approach is:
Use Alert Management Rules to suppress or downgrade alerts that should not impact the service. If the alert is filtered here, it will not affect the Service Instance.
If the CI itself shouldn’t affect the service, use CI filters on the Calculated Application Service.
If the alert is valid but too noisy, use Impact Policies to reduce or remove its health impact.
Rule of thumb:
Don’t want the alert impacting the service → Alert Management Rule
Don’t want the CI in the service → CAS CI Filter
Alert is real but shouldn’t degrade health → Impact Policy
No customization needed.
