Trying to map a basic service behind a Citrix Netscaler load balancer, and instead of the reverse proxy server VIP that I was expecting to find, I get 70+ VIPs and services. There is nothing obvious in the mapping logs.
I was able to discover the instance during basic Discovery, but the mapping view is all wrong. The Netscaler release is 11.52 and we are running Istanbul patch 5. We discovered the Netscaler using SNMPv3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Have you created SSH credentials and tested them for your NetScaler ? Service Mapping will use SNMP first and then try SSH to pull back the lists of services. I have seen before where SNMP does not correctly filter down the list of retrieved services. However, SSH pattern does.
My suggestion is to confirm you have working SSH credentials to the NetScaler then de-activate the SNMP credential and run the discovery map again and see what you get. Let me know 🙂
Regards
Andy
