Two questions:
Model question around -A versus -E on Catalyst devices with Discovery stripping those end modifiers causing maintenance/support issues? An example would be a Cisco C9300-48U-E being remodeled to Cisco C9300-48U by Discovery.
Does ServiceNow Auto Discovery, while running patterns, search the entirety of the cmdb_ci_* and all extended tables? Or does it start lower in the hierarchy, i.e. cmdb_ci_net_gear, or cmdb_ci_server, plus extended tables? An example would be Discovery determines that a Cisco C9300-48U is an IP Switch by OID so it starts at the cmdb_ci_net_gear table to search the S/N?
Additionally the HAM Office Hours the 3rd Wednesday of every month is super helpful for us as users of the ServiceNow platform. Any chance a Discovery "office hours" could be started up? I guess that is three questions...
