Hi everyone,
This week one of our customers in which we are implementing ServiceNow asked me how much network bandwidth does a service now user consumes in average.
Do ServiceNow have this statistic?
Thanks and regards,
Felipe

Hi Andrew, thanks for sharing this view, using Chrome ´s developer tools to gather real information about network bandwidth usage is a great idea, but at that time, 11 months ago (wow, time rushes!), what I really needed was sort of a pre-sales flyer with estimations on internet consumption so our future client could feel more confortable on using service now on their current network configuration, among with all the little infrastructure issues we have in a developing country like Brazil.
Anyway, thanks for answering this.
Best regards,
Felipe

HI Felipe, this would be useful for high level pre go-live planning. Did you get an idea on your own bandwidth usage per active client of ServiceNow?
regards Shane

Shane, hi, thanks for this, unfortunatelly that study wasn't made at the time, and in fact, to discover this would be tricky as the usage may differ from one user to another.
I ´d say that beyond that study, there should be metrics to evaluate the bandwith consuption as sometimes a peak in the consuption may indicate that there is processes running on the wrong place, like a gliderecord done in the client side instead of done in serverside via ajax.
Best regards,
Felipe
