Hello all,
We are starting with Discovery and someone in the team recommended we use DNS especially for vCenter discovery instead of hardcoded IP addresses.
1: Is this possible to use DNS for vCenter discovery?
2: Can we also use DNS for horizontal discovery for servers? If yes, is that a good idea over specifying subnets instead?
Thanks,
Ravish

As per KB : KB0750033 Discovery not populating IP address field for vCenter ESX server CIs
DNS Lookup is required to allow vCenter Discovery to collect the IP address information from the ESX servers.
