Will storage discovery work if during Shazzam SLP Probe on port 427 is refused but WBEM/5989 is open? What is the purpose of the SLP port?
Background: we are trying to disocver a EMC XtremIO. According to EMC support port 427 can't be opened - only 5989 is open

The Service Location Protocol (SLP, srvloc) is a service discovery protocol that allows computers and other devices to find services in a local area network without prior configuration. SLP has been designed to scale from small, unmanaged networks to large enterprise networks. It has been defined in RFC 2608 and RFC 3224 as standardstrack document.
slp Service Location Protocol Class - discovery_classy_proc runs on slp (port 427) runs on TCP/udp.

Hi Shekar,
thanks for your feedback. But what does that mean? Will storage discovery work if port 427 is not open?
