Hi there,

We are facing an issue with SCOM 2019 connector, after test we're getting below error:

EVENTS
-------------------------------------------------------------
Error running SCOM client: The system cannot execute the specified program.SCOM Event connector failed.  The system cannot execute the specified program.

This connector was working as expected however this failure has stopped its functionality.

Do you know what could be the cause of this failure? what else we may check to fix this issue?

Yolanda,

The additional logs you provided suggest that the binary the MID server is expecting to invoke will not run. The reason it will not run looks to be in the log entry screenshot.

"Cannot be closed in SCOM as the monitor which generated the alert is still unhealthy"

It looks like SCOM itself is rejecting the alert closure.

Does this occur when you change the MID server too?

It might be worth a proactive reboot of the windows server hosting the problematic MID just to rule that out too.

Yes, BI-Directional error is happening now with the new MID server:

About the problematic MID Server, its host server was rebooted however I still get this message: Error running SCOM client: The system cannot execute the specified program.SCOM Event connector failed. The system cannot execute the specified program

We noticed that issues are happening after we upgrade to SD, Do we need to re-configure the SCOM connector? or reinstall .dlls?

Have any luck with this Yolanda? Getting a similar issue in our dev instance, which was only impacting 1 event mid server, but now its impacting the 2nd as well. Trying to workout what the cause is. Do you have any errors on your mid servers?

Mike did you figure out what was the issue? We had the same issue with our two MID servers. It was after windows patching.

Did you figure out what was the cause of the issue?

We have now experienced same issue on our two MID servers. First happened on one, and we switched SCOM connector to the 2nd MID server and fixed it. But now the 2nd one is having the same issue. 

 

"Error running SCOM client: The system cannot execute the specified program.SCOM connector failed. The system cannot execute the specified program."

 

We suspect it was related to windows server patching since it happened right after a patch.
