Triggering events in FLOW to sent out Email Notification

I've always have had issues getting Email Notifications to fire when an event is raised.
I've gotten frustrated and went with the easy way to send with ticket is Updated or Instered.
Now i'm back to force this through.
I've Registered an event.
I've added the Queue as DEFAULT - since that is the only one in our instance.
I also have the corresponding Notification set for Event Fired = software.approve.
In my flow, the last item i have is the OOB Fire Event where i've added the following:
When go the the Event Log, I see where the event is shown but it remains in the "Ready" state.
I've also followed the documentation getting a scheduled job to review/process the queue.
And they still are not firing the Event and emails are not going out.
I need serious help.
