Hi Team,

I able to Classify the Load Balancer IP using Horizontal Discovery(Quick Discovery). But in buiness service i am getting error that

"all commands failed on host: xx.yy.zz.aa. context: null/null

all commands failed on host:

xx.yy.zz.aa. command type: SNMP_SCALAR. command track: SnmpScalarCommand\(Relevant),; input: *.*.*.1.4.1.3375.2.*.4.1

Please suggest me what could be the reason.

Thanks,

Nimmi

Hi Nimmi,

OOB ServiceNow does not have the capability to discovery load balancer by SSH. So you should discover only with SNMP.

You need to provide the list of OID's which we send it from ServiceNow to discover load balancer pools and services. If you are using F5 load balancer then you provide SNMP - F5 BIG-IP - System probe's SNMP field values to your network team. You can tell your network team that these commands only get the information from F5 and do not harm the load balancer.

Vivek

Hi Nimmi,

During horizontal discovery check whether you are able to discover load balancer pools and services. If its there then check your entry point IP address in   cmdb_ci_lb_service (Load balancer service) table's IP address field.

Hi Vivek,

Thanks for your response.

It seems load balancer pools and services has not been discovered. Given IP was classified as UNIX device. The error message in horizontal discovery is " No shell detected and probe parameter 'allow_unsupported_shell' is set to 'false'.

Is this could be the reason. And do you have any idea which SNMP commands are executed by Mid Server on load balancer device or where i get that.

Actually our network team wants list of commands which mid server will execute on device.

TIA,
