Unable to Find or Activate Core Discovery Plugin (com.snc.discovery) in Australia PDI

Hi Community,

I am currently using a Personal Developer Instance (PDI) running the Australia release of ServiceNow. I am trying to practise ITOM Discovery and configure the complete Discovery process as part of my learning.

However, I am unable to find or activate the core Discovery plugin (com.snc.discovery) in my instance.

Here are the steps I have tried:

1. Searched for com.snc.discovery in Application Manager → All Available Applications.

2. Navigated to System Definition → Plugins and searched for Discovery.

3. Accessed the plugin registry through sys_plugins_list.do and searched using the condition Name contains Discovery.

4. Found only the ITOM Discovery License plugin (com.snc.itom.discovery.license).

5. Also found Discovery-related Store applications such as Discovery Admin Workspace and Discovery and Service Mapping Patterns, but not the core Discovery plugin.

I understand that ITOM Discovery License is a licensing-related plugin and does not provide the actual Discovery functionality.

My questions:

1. Is the core Discovery plugin (com.snc.discovery) available for activation in Australia-release PDIs?

2. Is there any additional plugin or dependency that needs to be installed before the core Discovery plugin becomes available?

3. Can the Discovery plugin be requested or activated for a PDI for educational and hands-on practice?

4. If Discovery is not supported in PDIs, is there an alternative way to get a developer or learning instance with Discovery enabled?

I would appreciate any guidance from ServiceNow experts or community members who have successfully configured Discovery in their PDIs.
