Hello,
After successfully downloading and installing the ODBC driver (available from SN) that enables me to connect to our instance and after having successfully testing the connection via the ODBC driver through the Data Source Administrator application, I now receive an error when attempting to create a standard report using Crystal Reports 2008.
The Crystal Report error reads "Unknown Database Connector Error". Event viewer simply states that it wasn't able to retrieve information about the error. I've Googled the error, search EventID.net but came up empty handed.
Here is the ODBC configuration:
Data Source Name: ServiceNow Production
Description: ServiceNow ODBC Driver
Service Name: ServiceNow_ODBC
Service Data Source: ServiceNow
Customer Properties: url=https://.service-now.com
Again, tests are successful through the data source admin just not when attempting to build a standard report in CR2008.
Has anyone out here encountered this issue? Was there a solution and if so do you mind sharing it?
Many thanks

We are experiencing the same problem. I am convinced it is the odbc driver but SN support is saying it is crystal. please let me know if you figure out how to get past this.

Hi Andy,
So the assumption by several of us here is that there is a registry issue on my main Workstation. We worked around the problem by installing the driver on a different computer and using it to build custom SN reports. I am resigned to this solution because there are only a few reports we pull from outside of SN's reporting tool and there aren't that many of them.
